Tribeca Gallery Night.

A few times a year, dozens of Tribeca galleries stay open into the evening on the same night. Those nights are run by the galleries and their partners, not by Tribeca Arts District. This page sets out what we can confirm about each one, with sources, and where the next date will be announced.

Is there a date for the next one?

Not yet. As of October 5, 2026, no date has been announced for the next Tribeca Gallery Night or the next After Hours. The official Tribeca Gallery Night site still shows its May 15, 2026 edition. When an organizer or a participating gallery posts a date, we will add it to the events page with a link to that source.

Two series, two organizers

Two different gallery nights now run in the neighborhood. They have different organizers and happen in different seasons, so it helps to keep them apart.

Tribeca Gallery Night (spring)

Tribeca Gallery Night happens in May, during New York's art fair week. Arte Realizzata, one of the participants, describes it as an industry-led initiative with no sponsors, where galleries take part free of charge, held to bring foot traffic to Tribeca that week. It has its own site, tribecagallerynight.org, with a list of participating galleries and a map.

The first edition was Friday, May 9, 2025, from 6 to 8pm. Dimin's announcement counted more than 70 galleries and art spaces. The second was Friday, May 15, 2026, from 6 to 8pm, and The Art Newspaper reported more than 80 galleries staying open late.

After Hours: Downtown Gallery Night

After Hours is organized by YveYANG Gallery in partnership with Showrunner, a gallery listings app, according to Uprise Art. Showrunner announced an edition on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 6 to 8pm, across what it called 65+ Tribeca spaces. Uprise called the next one, on Friday, September 25, 2026, the second installment. HB381 listed it for 6 to 8pm during Armory Week, across 80+ downtown galleries, with drinks afterward at YveYANG, which is at 12 Wooster St in SoHo. HB381 pointed visitors to the Showrunner app for the full list of participants.

Past editions we can confirm

The name is older than the current series. In 2020, Luhring Augustine took part in what it called the third annual Tribeca Gallery Night, on September 25, 2020, from 4 to 8pm. We could not find who organized those earlier editions. Participants in May 2025 called that edition the first Tribeca Gallery Night, so the two appear to be separate series that share a name.

Other evening gallery walks

The Art Dealers Association of America runs a summer gallery walk. Its 2025 edition was the first to include Tribeca, Time Out reported. For 2026 the ADAA Tribeca Gallery Walk was held on Wednesday, July 15, from 6 to 8pm, with 20 member galleries.

The Tribeca Open Artist Studio Tour, known as TOAST, ran for more than twenty years and ended in 2018, Tribeca Citizen reported.

On a gallery night, each gallery decides whether it takes part and how late it stays open. Before you go, check the organizer's participant list and the gallery's own website. Any other night of the week, our events page lists what is on view and opening across the district, each listing checked against the gallery's own site, and the directory has every space with its address.
